Stub — Moore Park is a large public reserve adjacent to Centennial Park and the SCG in the inner south of Sydney. The park and its surrounds were a known beat in the 1980s.
The area is documented in the case of Alan Rosendale, who was attacked at Moore Park in 1989 and survived. His case is documented in ACON’s In Pursuit of Truth & Justice (2018) and named in Report 58 (NSW Legislative Council, 2021). The ABC News article by Alan Rosendale (28 May 2018) is primary-source-quality: it includes eyewitness testimony from Paul Simes, who recorded the attackers’ vehicle registration and later found it matched an unmarked police car.
Research needed:
- Precise location of the 1989 attack within Moore Park
- Whether Moore Park appears in other cases within the project scope
- Beat geography and use period
