Ray Henry

Stub — Ray William Henry was the Coroner who presided over the inquest into the death of Paul Rath on 16 September 1977. He returned a finding of accidental death: “died of the effects of multiple injuries sustained then and there when he fell accidentally onto rocks at the foot of a cliff.” He also found no prima facie case for an indictable offence.

The Sackar Inquiry declined to adopt the accidental finding, determining instead that the cause of Paul’s fall cannot be determined, and making Recommendation 1 — that the Commissioner of NSWPF apply for a fresh inquest.
